Jhene Aiko just joined a list of the many artists who have chosen their health over scheduled tours. In a message to her fans on Instagram that followed canceled NJ shows, she explained the reasoning. “been trying to do too much, too soon” Aiko begins. “at the urging of my doctor, I’ll be taking a little break to focus on myself and my babies.” It’s unclear when she will return to performing and which of her NJ shows she’ll miss in the meantime. She has shows planned for June and August for which tickets are still available on her website.

Jhene Aiko did make sure that fans knew she was sorry for the inconvenience and would make plans to return soon. “my sincerest apologies to anyone that purchased a ticket to my shows in NJ” Aiko writes. Her statement ends with “i promise to make it up to you the next time I’m in the area,” and a message to her fans to “be well.” Fans flocked to the comments to return well wishes back to her and her children.
